San Mai Knives

These are two knives forged from three layers of steel. The outer layers are 15N20 while the inner layers are 1084. They are hardened and tempered. The pattern on the blade is the seperation line between the two different metals which have been forge welded together to make a single piece.

The larger knife has grip scales made from reclaimed hardwood, likely lignum vitae. This knife is no longer available.
